A QUILTER’S GARDEN 2nd Mondays

Morning Session: 10:00 – 1:00

Evening Session: 6:00 – 9:00

A  Quilter’s Garden aka Second Monday Quilt Group!  Formally called Christmas Club, A Quilter’s Garden is a bright, fun pieced and a little appliqué quilt.  Second Monday of each month, 10-1:00 or 6-9:00 join one of our fun groups to make a block a month.  $60 for all 12 sessions, plus the kit each  month, approximately $15 per month.  (Exact amount to be posted soon).  This quilt may also be purchased each month without taking the class to do on your own.
 ADVANCED BEGINNERS Mondays

A new class to help a person kinda new to piecing and quilting.  You should know how to use rotary cutter/rulers and of course your sewing machine.  Diane Rogers will help boost your confidence and teach you new techniques, including a “taste” of hand and machine quilting and curve piecing are just a few of the techniques.  Monday afternoons 2-5:00 Feb 20, 27, Mar. 5, 12, 19 & 26, $65 plus a few supplies.

BASIC SERGER  Monday, Feb 27

10:00 – 2:00

Basic Serger Class with Jan Mueller will acquaint you with the uses of your server that you may not have discovered, such as how to set your tensions,  curves, zippers, feet and other accessories and techniques.  Be sure to bring your Operator’s Manual.  All models are welcomed. Monday, Feb. 27, 10-2:00, $15, limited to 10 people. Bring a sack lunch to save time.
BEGINNING PIECING Five sessions, Tuesday Jan 17, 24, 31, Feb 7 and 21

6-9:00

Beginning Piecing:  If you want to learn the basics of piecing the quilt top and know nothing, this is the class for you.  Dixie will lead you with the help of Alex Anderson’s Start Quilting book.  Five sessions, $65+ book, fabric and some necessary tools.
BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING Thurs Feb 16 $15, 6-9:00 Beginning Machine Quilting (not piecing, quilting only):  Have you made a quilt top and wonder now what to do?  Betty Siegel will help you with technique an suggestions on your quilt.  Betty is a master quilter on a regular sewing machine.  Let her help you.

Come sew with us.  Bring your project, binding a quilt, making blocks, etc. come do it with friends.  Daytime session begins around 10 am till about 3 pm with time out for lunch at EZ’s.  Evening gals gather around 6 till 9pm.  We usually order to go for dinner.  Bring something to work on and enjoy other quilters for a few hours, no teaching, just talking and having fun together while getting something done on your project.  No charge.
FOLDY STUFF Thursday,

Foldy Stuff will be another way of making log cabins.  This method does not need batting, therefore makes a nice summer weight throw.  Dixie will help you on Thurs. March 29, 6-9:00, $15 +pattern/fabric.
FREE MOTION QUILTING Thursday, Feb 16

6:00 – 9:00

Free Motion Quilting with Betty Siegle will teach you how to quilt your own quilts on your sewing machine. Basic supplies are needed.  Thurs, Feb 16, 6-9:00, $15, great class.
 Glue Stick Hand Applique  Friday, Feb 17

1:00 – 4:00

Glue Stick Applique with Jacque Wright helping you to make your hand applique so easy and look like you did needle turn.  Jacque has taught many people this method and they love it. $15, Friday Feb. 17, 1-4.

MYSTERY QUILT Saturday, April 21

Mystery Quilt with Liz Graham giving you clues to solve your quilt mystery.  Liz has led several mystery classes recently and they have all been a lot of fun.  Bring a covered dish to share, be prepared to eat, sew and have a lot of fun on Saturday, April 21, 9:30-3:00.  $20 + your fabric, pattern included.
One Fabric Quilt Sat. Feb 18

One Fabric Quilt with Liz Graham.  Liz has discovered a great quilt in One Fabric Quilt book.  Choose a stripe  or another distinct design and create a great quilt.  Bring a covered dish to share and have a good day eating and sewing  with friends and creating a new quilt.  Sat. TUTOR TIME Call the shop for date information. Tutor Time – Katie Reed will help you get started, get finished or just encourage you on any quilt project you have.  Katie is patient, expert quilter and likes to help people with their problems.   Each session is $15    Call the shop for information on dates. 
Class Policies:You should call or come by the shop to sign for any of the classes, unless it is an on-going class such as Christmas Club.  Class size is limited.  You usually need a supply sheet for what you need to bring for the class.  Every student brings their own machine, rulers, rotary cutters, etc. or any tool or fabric, book or pattern needed for that particular class.  Please have your name on all of your supplies. It is not required,but greatly appreciated, for your supplies to be purchased from Seventh Heaven.  You should have full knowledge of how to use your machine if one is needed for your class.  Usually classes need at least 4 people for the class to make.  Refunds will be given if the class is cancelled by the shop for any reason.  You may cancel and receive a refund 2 days prior to class.  IN CASE OF SEVERE WEATHER, CALL THE SHOP.  WE DO NOT RISK OUR LIFE FOR A QUILT CLASS!  IF AT ALL POSSIBLE GIVE US YOUR WORK OR CELL NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN BE REACHED DURING THE DAY.  We want you to enjoy your class and will make every effort to ensure this happens, therefore, we ask that you take cell phone calls out of the classroom so as not to disturb the other people.
