Merry Christmas!
Just a reminder SHQS will close a little early Friday (4:00) and closed Dec. 24, 25 & 26 to celebrate Christ’s birthday with our families. I wish all of you a wonderful blessed Christmas season.
Dixie presented Georgeanne Wertheim a check for $1500 collected through Book Club fines to benefit Perinatel Support Group serving several San Antonio hospitals. Memory Boxes are hand painted for parents who have lost an infant at or before birth. These lovely boxes contain hand and/or foot prints, locks of hair, poems, prayers, information on Support Groups, tiny baby bracles and little bears and other items to help them cope with the loss of their precious angel.
Also pictured is Millie Moczygemba, a nurses who not only works in the delivery area of one of the hospitals, but also helps with the projects. The volunteers will meet again January 4 at Georgeanne’s studio. You do not have to be an artist to contribute.
