Welcome to Seventh Heaven Quilt Shop, a quilter's paradise located in picturesque Alamo Heights near downtown San Antonio, Texas. Seventh Heaven customers have donated over 200 pillow cases to be donated to Ronald McDonald Houses. HQ staff folds and counts and packs them to be delivered. Ryan, Jennifer and Susie received them at the three locations. Some cases were sent to a RMH in Houston to a special little friend suffering from a brain tumor. It is our prayer that a brightly colored pillow case will bring some joy to these kids during a very difficult time in their young lives. Pray for all of these children that their treatments will work and they can be a kid again.

I hope everyone is enjoying the cold weather. I love it for a good change from 100+ temps we have in the summer. For our friends who do not live in south Texas, some of you are having severe cold and I hope you are all ok.

Shop Hop is just around the corner. We have the challenge fabric and entry forms ready for you. The fabric is a fat eighth and must be used in the 12-1/2 unquilted block. The blocks must be turned in to one of the participating shops before Wednesday, March 31, 2010. The blocks will be judged by all 12 shop owners in several categories. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in 4 different categories. The prizes are great and definitely worth making one block!

All of the blocks will displayed in the 12 participating shops during Shop Hop. Then all of the blocks will be donated to a worthy charity called Camp Brave Heart in the Austin area but for children from all around the state. This is a free camp for kids who are suffering the loss of a loved one. Many of the children have lost a parent who was serving in a war zone or public service, such as police or fire fighters. The blocks will be made into quilts to be given to the kids.

If you do not live near any of the Shop Hop shops, we will be glad to mail you a fat-eighth and entry from. The cost to enter is $2.00 +$1.00 postage. Texas residents would need to enclose 16 cents sales tax. Just send us a check for $3.16 or $3.00, which ever applies to you and we will get the fabric right out to you.

Lots us beautiful new bluebonnet fabric Shades of Blue from Moda, wonderful April Cornel blue and white, lovely Garden Path from Clothworks, beautiful brights fron Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett, lots and lots of fabulous 1800's reproductions from Jo Morton, Judy Rothermel, Marcus and others and more, more, more are in the shop! You just can't have too much fabric! Come see us we will share the good stuff with you.

Late spring we will begin a great block of the month for 8 months that will include redwork as well as some appliqué and pieced blocks, Growing Up on the Ranch from "Scarlett Today" can be seen on her website www.redworkplus.com BOM's can also be mailed. We also carry the Presencia red Perle cotton, her needles, String Thing and scissors and needles.
